Interesting how the industry that brought us AI is now the one that will feel the human impact of AI the most.
Daniel Nadler , CEO and Founder of OpenEvidence, an AI-powered medical information and clinical decision support company, recently stated that “some of the most valuable companies in the world will have sub-100 employees,” and “the world’s not prepared for that.” These employees may be able to serve millions of people, he added.
He said the “unfathomable scale” is a direct result of what Nvidia enables — the tools and the people who develop on top of that technology. “The economy — and certainly the tech economy — is going to look unrecognizable.”
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman agrees, saying that “AI acts as a collaborator that lets individuals and small teams achieve results that once required much larger organizations, amplifying productivity and creativity.”
McKinsey’s take…
New research from McKinsey discovered that the rise of ultra-efficient, AI-driven teams could require a fundamental restructuring of the workforce. “To capture the full value of AI, organizations need a double transformation — technical and organizational — that reimagines how work gets done. They acknowledge the work and prep, along with training and upskilling that will be required.

So What?
I always enjoy my deep dives into what’s happening with Talent in the Age of AISM. For months I’ve had conversations with our podcast guests who are coming off of the hype that “everyone” would lose their jobs thanks to AI. They may in tech, but most we talk to say, they need their employees. They just need them to be AI-adept to be more efficient — and more effective. How the vast majority of companies adopt AI, and how it impacts their workforce, is yet to be seen, experienced and discovered.
