Worry when AI can automate meaning and emotion.
It used to be called the Experience Economy. Now the phrase is the Transformation Economy, and it signals the undying need that people have to connect, to be moved, to feel something for a brand.
Call it “content.” Call it “storytelling,” but when experience in a business strategy, the lens focuses in on what matters. The clarity helps define which AI tools and disciplines to deploy, but it still takes the human-to-human understanding to build workforces, brands and business.
Maya Angelou said it best ages ago: People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.

So what?
The analogy is that it’s not the AI platform or interface people are going to remember. It’s what you evoke leveraging these tools that will make a mark.
PwC reports that over 70% of consumers consider experience a key factor in purchasing decisions. Gartner predicts that experience will soon surpass both product and price as the primary differentiator. McKinsey & Company shows that companies leading in experience outperform competitors in growth and profitability.*
So what?
When it comes to talent development, we’ve all known the difference culture makes. What if you make the leap to a culture of meaningful experiences in putting AI to work for your employees, no matter what their position? Make it acceptable, edifying, even FUN to adopt AI and share the experience throughout the company. The net result may very well may be a lift in brand and business because of how you make your customers “feel.”
